Pujara hits Double Hundred, India declare at 521/8

TNI Bureau: India’s new “Rahul Dravid”, Cheteshwar Pujara hit his maiden double hundered, as India declare the first innings at 521/8 in the first test match against England at Motera, Ahmedabad. Pujara remained unbeaten on 206. Yuvraj Singh made 74, while Aswhin scored 23.

Earlier yesterday, Virender Sehwag had scored an explosive 117 off 117 balls to give India a good start. Gambhir contributed 45. For England, Graeme Swann was the pick of the bowlers. He claimed five wickets.

Indian spinners strike hard to leave England reel at 41/3 at Stumps on Day 2. Ashwin took two wickets, while Ojha has taken one. Cook is batting on 22. England need 322 to avoid follow-0n.
