New Democracy conservative leader Antonis Samaras has already begun talks to form a coalition government with the help of like-minded parties.

The radical leftist anti-bailout party SYRIZA came second in the elections. However, Evangelos Venizelos’ Socialist PASOK party finished third and is all set to support Samaras to form the government in Greece.

The victory margin between the New Democracy party and SYRIZA was narrow. However, Samaras’ victory has changed the equations in Greece and brought rays of hope to resolve the Eurozone crisis.
