President Pranab to visit Odisha on April 25

President Pranab Mukherjee will come to Odisha on April 25 in a day-long visit. He will address the 45th Convocation of Utkal University. The President’s office has confirmed his participation yesterday.

It will be Pranab Mukherjee’s first visit to Odisha after he took over as the President of India. Also, he will be the second President to visit the Utkal University. Former President Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan had inaugurated the University building in Bhubaneswar on January 2, 1963.

The Utkal University campus in Bhubaneswar completes 50 years this year. Although the University was set up in 1943, it was operating from the Ravenshaw College campus before being moved to Bhubaneswar in 1963.
