Posters of Pyari Mohan with Indira Gandhi raise Eyebrows

TNI Bureau: The political atmosphere in Odisha has hotted up with the posters and banners of expelled BJD leader Pyarimohan Mohapatra-led Odisha Jana Morcha (OJM) for carrying the images of Pyari with late Prime Minister and former Congress leader Indira Gandhi. The recent development raised many eyebrows, while Pyari has been claiming that he is a part of the BJD.

The controversy surfaced over the posters placed at several places in Bhawanipatana, Titilagarh and Balangir ahead of today’s OJM’s rally at Bhawanipatana.

The poster stated that the massive rally ‘Kranti Samabesh’ of the OJM will be organised in Bhawanipatana on the day of 95th birth anniversary of Indira Gandhi.

The picture of Pyari with Indira Gandhi added much fuel and invited BJD top leaders to criticise the rally and Pyari’s goal.

However, Pyari defended and held BJD responsible for such act. He made it clear that his mission is to unite the BJD workers, rejecting the allegations that his political front is with the Congress.

He alleged that the BJD has created such posters and pasted it in order to divert public attention ahead of the rally. OJM spokesperson Jagneswar Babu reacting to the issue said that some BJD members have created the photos of Pyari and Indira Gandhi to create confusion among the workers.

Taking up the issue strongly, the OJM has filed FIRs in Balangir and Kalahandi dostricts demanding a fair investigation into the matter.
