TNI Bureau: The Ponty Chadha murder case took a dramatic turn with the arrest of sacked Uttarakhand Minority Commission Chairman Sukhbir Singh Namdhari, who is said to be the mastermind in the murder of Chadha and his brother, who were killed in a farmhouse shooting on November 17.
Namdhari has been remanded to police custody for five days. The Delhi Police got a major breakthrough from his custody, as they recovered the murder weapon – a 7.62 mm Indian pistol from Namdhari’s farmhouse in Uttarakhand’s Bajpur. According to Delhi Police, Namdhari had fired at Ponty’s brother Hardeep after the latter pointed a gun at him.
