TNI Bureau: At last, police succeeded in uncovered the mystery of burglary from the office almirah of Kanak Manjari Institute of Pharmaceutical Science (KMIPS), Chhend.
According to SP, Rourkela Amitendranath Sinha an FIR was lodged by the Vice Principal, KMIPS on 24 November 2011 in Chhend Police Station stating that while opening the office in morning they found that the lock window was broken along with inside office door and cash of Rs. 38,50,000 was stolen from office almirah. Lodging the FIR the police was investigating into the matter.
On 18 January 2013 morning at about 4.00am while Lathikata Police Station IIC J.M.Bhukta patrolling noticed an Indica Car (OR14V-8176) at Cheap Type Market, Sector-15. On checking the car the police found cash of rupees two lakh from the occupant of the car Raju Reddy in a suspicious condition. After interrogation, Reddy admitted that he is the driver of the Chairman, KMIPS B.R.Pattanaik and involved in robbery case from the office almirah. Basing on his tip off police took him to B/29, STI and recovered additional 33,15,395 rupees cash along with a Mangal Sutra and an ear ring pair.
In total police have seized 35,15,395 cash, a mangal sutra, an ear ring pair, pass port and an Indica car from the custody of Reddy. However, the alone involvement of Reddy in such robbery is still suspicious.
