TNI Bureau: Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police Nilesh Pandey, who was abducted by the Maoists on Tuesday, was shot dead by the rebels. The 27-year-old cop was abducted when he was going from Bijapur to Farsegargh in a bus.

The incident occurred near Chinger Nala under Kutru police station in Raipur. Nilesh was killed shortly after his abduction, said the police sources. His body was recovered on Wednesday morning.
