The Minister of Finance, Government of British Columbia Mr. Michael de Jong, Q.C. called on the Minister of State (I/C) for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Dharmendra Pradhan. The two Ministers discussed progress on various issues of hydrocarbon cooperation.

Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (IOC) has acquired 10% interest in Pacific Northwest LNG project an integrated (upstream and LNG) project in Canada. PETRONAS is the operator of this project. The Project is awaiting statutory clearances. Mr. Jong assured to fast tract clearances by early next year.
