Parliament adjourned after paying Tribute to Gujral

TNI Bureau: Both Houses of Parliament were adjourned for the day after paying tributes to former Prime Minister Inder Kumar Gujral, who died on Friday at the age of 92. Gujral was cremated with state honours on Saturday.

Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar led the House to mourn the demise of IK Gujral. In Rajya Sabha, Dr. Hamid Ansari took the lead. Both the Houses observed silence as a mark of respect to the departed soul.

The Parliament also offered tributes to the victims of Bhopal Gas Tragedy on the 28th anniversary.
