According to Hansa opinion poll, BJP will get a comfortable majority of 154 in the 288-member assembly, while Shiv Sena may end up at just 47 seats. Congress could win 25 seats followed by NCP (17) and MNS (10).
Another survey conducted by India Today-CICERO, has predicted 133 seats for the BJP. It offers 54 seats to Shiv Sena, 30 for the Congress, 33 for the NCP and 10 for MNS. The survey also revealed that 74% of people have expressed satisfaction over the performance of Narendra Modi government at the centre.
Both surveys confirmed the Modi Wave in Maharashtra and agreed that BJP’s victory in Maharashtra would be attributed to none other than Narednra Modi, who is taking a whirlwind tour of the state to campaign for the party.
