“Operation DMK”: CBI in Action

0

Whenever the Congress-led UPA Government faces crisis, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) steps in. Congress always dares to use CBI without bothering about the public opinion and opposition sentiments. It happened against today, when a CBI team raided DMK leader and M Karunanidhi’s son MK Stalin’s house in Chennai.

According to TV reports, the CBI has registered a case against Stalin’s son for illegally importing a car. How pity! Just two days ago, three senior Ministers of the Congress were in Chennai for a different reason. They were trying to placate Karunanidhi, but failed in their task and DMK withdrew support to the UPA government on Sri Lankan Tamil issue.

The CBI action was probably aimed at sending a message to Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav and BSP supremo Mayawati so that they don’t deviate from their path and stick to the UPA by advocating “secularism”.

However, Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram, who is said to be very close to DMK supremo Karunanidhi, has disapproved the CBI action and said it would send wrong signals and people would blame the Congress for this. Soon after Chidambaram’s outburst, the CBI raids have been stopped!!!
