TNI Bureau: After the Odisha Government took decisions to reopen the Puri Jagannath Temple and Lord Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar, Odisha Congress has sought the reopening of all temples across the state by following the Covid-19 guidelines.
Odisha PCC President Niranjan Patnaik has requested CM Naveen Patnaik to ensure reopening of Maa Tarini Temple (Ghatagaon, Keonjhar), Baldevjew Temple (Kendrapara), Maa Majhighariani Temple (Rayagada), Maa Sarala Temple (Jagatsinghpur), Baba Akhandalamani Temple (Bhadrak), Harishankar Temple (Balangir), Mahabinayak Temple (Jajpur), Maa Mangala Temple (Kakatapur), Baba Alarnath Temple (Brahmagiri), Shri Dhabaleswar Temple (Cuttack), Maa Charchika Temple (Banki), Maa Samaleswari (Sambalpur), Maa Biraja Temple (Jajpur), Maa Taratarini Temple (Ganjam) and Shri Nilamadhav Temple (Nayagarh) so that the devotees can have darshan of the deities after a long time.
While taking care of livelihood of people, their religious sentiments should also be taken care of, said Niranjan Patnaik.
Meanwhile, the Kendrapara District Administration has decided to reopen the Baldev jew Temple from January 3 in compliance with the COVID-19 guidelines. Only 100 people will be allowed inside the temple at a time.
