1) The world famous Rath Yatra in Puri came to an end, as three deities Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra returned to their abode at Shri Mandir in the early hours today. The event was celebrated as Niladri Bije.

2) The Orissa High Court asked the state government to reply on the unprecedented delay in the construction of buildings for the Anganwadi centres in Odisha.

3) The results of the HSC Supplementary examinations, conducted by the BSE, Odisha, have been declared today. 24.80% students have cleared the exams. The results are available at www.bseodisha.nic.in and www.indiaresults.com .

4) Odisha Health Minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak has revealed that medical colleges will be set up in Rayagada and Gajapati districts of the state very soon under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode.

5) Smt. Santoshini Behera, has been elected as the Chairperson of the Balangir Municipality. She had won from Ward No. 19. The BJD had won 16 out of 21 wards, while the Congress had won 4. The BJP had secured just one ward.

6) BJD Councilor from Ward No. 2, Sri Gobardhan Nag, has been elected as the Chairman of Titlagarh NAC. BJD had won 14 out of 15 wards in Titlagarh, leaving just one to the Congress.
