The results of the High School Certificate (HSC) examination 2013 were announced today at the head office of Board of Secondary Education (BSE) in Cuttack. The BSE recorded a total pass percentage of 73.11. Around 75.99 per cent regular students cleared the test.
Mass Education Minister Ravi Narayan Nanda and Board president Dakhya Prasad Nanda unveiled the results booklet at 9.30 am today.
The maximum regular pass percentage 86.97 was recorded from Balasore district, while Nuapada recorded the lowest pass percentage of 51.3. The ex-regular pass percentage is 48.81.
A total of 1, 05148 students have cleared the test in first division, while 1, 27209 in second division and 1, 53202 students passed the exam in third division. 1, 21863 candidates could not qualify the test, 5,020 were caught in malpractice and the results of 739 students remained withheld.
However, the results were announced without toppers’ list, as per the pervious announcement.

The exam was held from February 25 to March 9. Around 6 lakh students had appeared the exam this year. The supplementary examination for the failed students is scheduled to begin from last week of May.
