Nupur Talwar gets Bail in Aarushi-Hemraj Murder case

TNI Bureau: In a huge relief to Nupur Talwar, the Supreme Court on Monday granted her bail in Aarushi-Hemraj double murder case. She has been in judicial custody since April 30. She will walk out of Dasna jail on September 25.

Nupur is the co-accused in the double murder of her daughter Aarushi Talwar and domestic help Hemraj.

Earlier, CBI had opposed granting bail to Nupur saying she could influence the witnesses. The agency had been directed to examine the witnesses.

The CBI has charged her and husband Rajesh Talwar under sections 302/34 (murder with common intention) and 201 (destruction of evidence with common intention) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Rajesh is also charged under section 203 (giving false information in respect of an offence committed) of the IPC.

The trouble for Talwar couple had begun after their 14-year-old daughter was found murdered at their residence on May 16, 2008 in Noida. Their domestic help Hemraj was found dead the next day on the terrace of the house.

Even though, Talwars have been denying the charges, the CBI suspected their role in the double murder case.
