As expected, the Indian women, who failed to make any impact in the 2013 Women’s World Cup, were snubbed by the ICC while choosing the ICC Women’s World Cup Team of the tournament. M Kamini and Mithali Raj hit one century each in the tournament. But, lack of consistency marred their chances.
Here’s the Team:
Suzie Bates (New Zealand, Captain), Charlotte Edwards (England), Rachael Haynes (Australia), Stafanie Taylor (West Indies), Deandra Dottin (West Indies) Eshani Kaushalya (Sri Lanka), Jodie Fields (Australia, Wicketkeeper), Katherine Brunt (England), Holly Colvin (England), Anya Shrubsole (England), Megan Schutt (Australia), 12th Player: Holly Ferling (Australia).
