In a shocking incident, medical negligence at the VSS Medical College and Hospital in Burla, has claimed the lives of 9 innocent new-born babies, raising huge question marks over the efficiency of the state government to protect the kids. The babies were in the age group of one to seven days.
The infants were undergoing treatment at the ICU of the Neonatal Care Centre of the VSS Medical and College Hospital in Burla. Most of them died due to underweight, anemia and brain haemorhage issues, if we believe the hospital authorities.
A high-level probe has been ordered into the tragedy. The Inquiry Commission will be headed by the Director of Medical Education and Training.
