Nightclub Fire kills 250 in Brazil

TNI Bureu: In a shocking tragedy, around 250 people, mostly teenagers, were killed when a major fire struck a night club in Southern Brazil. The nightclub, Kiss is located in Santa Maria in Rio Grande do Sul. Around 2,000 teenagers had gathered there for the Saturday night party.

The incident occurred when the soundproofing material made of foam caught fire. Within minutes, the fire raged and swept through the night club. Most of the youth were killed of asphyxia or stampede.

Several others are being treated at various hospitals. Many of them are said to be critical. A probe has been ordered into the incident.
