NIA confirms Pak Role in Hyderabad Blasts

The National Investigating Agency (NIA) has finally confirmed that the elements based in Pakistan were behind the twin bomb blasts in Hyderabad, which left 16 people dead. A non-bailable warrant (NBW) has been issued against mastermind Riyaz Bhatkal and nine others, who are based in Pakistan.

A NIA court has issued warrants against Riyaz Bhatkal, Iqbal Bhatkal, Mohsim Chaudhary, Amir Reza Khan, Dr Shahnawaz Alam, Asadullah Akhtar, Ariz Khan, Mohd Khalid, Mirza Shadaab Beg and Mohd Sajid – all Indian Mujahideen (IM) operatives.

The conspiracy to carry out blasts was reportedly hatched in Pakistan. Two IM operatives, Syed Maqbool and Imran Khan, who were produced before the special NIA court, were remanded to judicial custody till March 13.
