Naveen promises Concrete Roads to Odisha Villages

TNI Bureau: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, who has announced a series of populist measures in the last few days, including Rs 10,000 assistance to registered Youth Clubs in the state and setting up of Kalyan Mandaps in all 37 Municipalities and 63 NACs, has come up with a promise to build concrete roads in all villages in the state in the next three years.

Panchayatiraj Minister Kalpataru Das announced Rs 10 lakh each to all panchayats in Odisha to undertake concrete road construction. The work will be done by the village committee instead of the contractors. The state government will spend Rs 623.60 crore every year towards this.
