TNI Bureau: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, who foiled a masive coup bid by his friend-turned-foe Pyari Mohan Mohapatra, while sitting in London, has finally returned to Bhubaneswar this evening.
Thousands of BJD leaders and cadres across the state gathered at the Biju Patnaik Airport to welcome their leader. At least 10 platoons of police were deployed to control the crowd.
The massive turnout at the Airport and Naveen Niwas showed who is the real boss within the BJD. Naveen proved that he rules the roost and the entire BJD is with him.
It took Naveen around two hours to reach his residence, which is hardly 5 minutes away from the Airport. After reaching Naveen Niwas, the Chief Minister expressed his gratitude to the leaders, cadres and common people. He got emotional to see this overwhelming support.
Naveen addressed the MLAs and MPs present there and said that he would discuss the ongoing issues with senior leaders tomorrow and take appropriate action at the right time.
All eyes will be on Naveen Patnaik tomorrow when he meets his core group and discuss the future course of action. While Naveen has received the support of around 96 MLAs out of 104, the rival camp is sulking and living in fear while waiting for the next move to be taken by Naveen Patnaik.
Energy Minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak has today joined the Naveen camp. However, other Ministers Sarada Nayak, Anjali Behera and Sanjeeb Sahoo have not turned up at the Naveen Niwas yet. Also, two more MLAs Bibhuti Balabantray and Prabhat Biwswal are also missing in the list of Noveen loyalists.
