Nation pays Tribute to Teachers on September 5

TNI Bureau: We hail the teachers, who take up the challenges of developing a society and nation in the long run, and play an instrumental role in changing the lives of people through their teachings and thoughts.

On the auspicious day of September 5, we remember our late President Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was elevated to the top post in the country despite coming from a humble background. Dr. Radhakrishnan showed the world that a teacher can be a leader, who can guide the nation if needed. His birth anniversary is being celebrated as Teacher’s Day across the country.

In today’s competitive world, we live in an environment full of corruption, fights, unethical practices and desperation to outwit each other to reach the top. The moral values are on decline, while the greed for money and power has taken its toll on the principles and values. Only the teachers, who act as guides and philosophers to the students, can show the true path to us.

Teaching is a noble profession, which requires vast knowledge, a lot of patience and determination to deal with the real issues and convince others to tread the right path. The teachers with high moral values and strict principles can help us build a nation, which can boast of its success and growth in the years to come.
