TNI Bureau: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi has challenged the Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi to come and campaign in Gujarat. The attitude shows that he is confident enough about his developmental works that will help him more to come to power in the polls and he has enough courage to take on the Nehru-Gandhi family members.
Addressing a rally in Mota Pondha village in Valsad district of south Gujarat Modi reportedly expressed his query about why Rahul Gandhi will not campaign in Gujarat. Another BJP leader Smriti Irani expressed her view about Rahul’s absent and said that as Rahul completely lost face after Congress’s defeat in Uttar Pradesh elections, so he is not coming to Gujarat.
Modi addressed a series of rallies in south Gujarat as a part of his month-long Swami Vivekanand Yuva Vikas Yatra.
In another meeting in Navsari, Modi also raised voice against Congress’s dynastic politics and questioned Gandhi scion’s credentials. He condemned the idea of ruling by a single family in the country and criticized that all people need to go to the family even for a minute thing before taking any decision and in this rule even the Prime Minister is not an exception.
On Tuesday Modi reportedly challenged Congress party to battle it out on the issue of development and not by using the CBI to target him. Conducting a rally in Valsad, Modi openly challenged UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Rahul Gandhi and said that he is ready for any contest.
Amidst growing speculation of a Narendra Modi versus Rahul Gandhi electoral battle in 2014, Narendra Modi challenged Rahul to come and campaign in the state. In 2007 Rahul Gandhi had campaigned extensively in Gujarat, but this time it is still not decided whether he would come to Gujarat or not.
