TNI Bureau: Good news for MySpace users, as the social networking site is back with new features and apps. The site made a dramatic come back to the world of social media following ups and downs. The site had declined after Facebook entered and became everyone’s first choice. However, the popular site will meet its old rival once again.
The old version of MySpace is still available and will exist for some time. According to report on News.com.au, the new MySpace is looking pretty and has added some innovative features that will impress the users.
Myspace was launched in August 2003. It was acquired by News Corporation in July 2005 for $580 million. It is headquartered in Beverly Hills, California. In June 2012, Myspace had 25 million unique US visitors.
MySpace was the most visited social networking site from 2005 to early 2008 in the world. Even it had surpassed Google as the most visited site in the US in June 2006.
However, the number of users and its popularity declined despite it added several features. It could not beat Facebook, which overtook it in the Alexa ranking on April 19, 2008. As of January 2013, Myspace was ranked 213 by total web traffic.
