For the first time, the CLT20 will witness an all-India final, as Mumbai Indians defeated Trinidad & Tobago in the second semifinal to reach Rajasthan Royals in the summit clash tomorrow.
Chasing a victory target of 154, Mumbai Indians started well, as Dwayne Smith (59) and Tendulkar (35) added 90 runs for the first wicket in just 11 overs. Although Sunil Narine struck with three wickets, that was not enough, as Mumbai reached 157/4 in 19.1 overs and won the match by six wickets. Rohit Sharma (25) and Dinesh Karthik (33*) were the other top contributors.
Tendulkar regained form after a long time. He hit two beautiful sixes in his 35. He also became the first cricketer to score 50,000 runs in all recognised formats of cricket altogether. Tomorrow will be the last T20 game for both Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid. It would be interesting to watch the ‘Battle of Titans’.
