The tournament brought a huge disappointment for Kolkata as they slipped to their fifth loss in the series. Kolkata won the toss and elected to bat first. They scored 159/6 (20.0 Ovs).

Following the dismissals of Sachin (2), Dinesh Karthik (7) and Dwayne Smith (62), Rohit Sharma played positively to help Mumbai to 104/3 after 13 overs, chasing 160.

As the team was struggling to reach the target, there was another twist in the game after Pollard was caught by Manoj Tiwary 33 (24) in last over when the team’s score was 150/5.

Thanks to Harbhajan Singh, who hit a big six in the last over. Rayudu contributed to the team hitting four in the last moment. The team scored 162/5 in 19.5 ovs. Dwayne Smith was the MoM for his 62 off 45 balls.

Sachin’s fans were highly disappointed today when he was out making only 2 runs. The stadium was full with the crowd as all the tickets were sold out to see the performance of the Little Master on his birthday. However, something else was in the destiny. At the end of the game, he got the gift from his team Mumbai Indians.
