After a disappointing first day, which was washed away by rain, the Day 2 of Mohali Test produced great excitement and a tough contest between the bat and ball. Skipper MS Dhoni lost the toss for the third time in a row, but Indian spinners fought back in the last two sessions to give India a slight edge.
Australian openers Ed Cowan (86) and David Warner (71) added 139 runs for rhe first wicket. However, Ravindra Jadeja struck twice to claim the wickets of Warner and Clarke (0), while Ojha took the wicket of Phillip Huges to put Australia on the mat.
Despite an unbeaten 58 from Steven Smith, Australia lost seven wickets for 273 runs on board. Jadeja took three wickets, while Ishant sharma took two wickets. Ashwin and Ojha took one wicket each.
