Modi gets “Red Roses” from United States

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi is looking forward to visit United States soon as he got invitation from the US delegation today. Modi had been denied VISA by the US since 2005 over the issue of post-Godhra riots.

The US delegation comprising Republicans Cathy McMorris Rodgers, Aaron Schock, Cynthia Lummis and some business representatives lauded Modi for his leadership and development in the state. They invited him to their country. It suggested that Modi will visit to show there the kind of governance that changed Gujarat’s economy.

However, it is not clear whether US State Department has changed its stand over the issue of visa to Modi.

For the first time the US lawmakers met Modi after the Gujarat riots. The delegation will be in India till April 7. They will have talks with government officials, MPs and business leaders visiting other cities.
