In a shocking development, a violent mob attacked a BSF camp in Ramban in Jammu & Kashmir, which forced the jawans to retaliate. At least four civilians were killed, while around 50 others, including many security personnel were injured in the clashes. The incident occurred in Gool area of Ramban, around 200 km from Jammu.
According to the BSF sources, a violent mob attacked the camp at 6:30 AM, resorted to firing and tried to barge into the storestorehouse of arms and ammunition. On the other hand, the locals alleged the situatin got aggravated after the BSF manhandled a religious leader’s brother last night over a late night prayer during Ramdan month.
The BSF clarified that the person in question was moving at a check-point in a suspicious manner and was confronted with at around 10 PM. However, later he was allowed to leave and the local police were informed about the matter.
