Men lie More than Women, claims Study

TNI Bureau: Telling lie is a part of human nature. But men tell lie more than women, a recent survey has revealed. It suggests that men frequently take the help of untruth to save them from any negative consequences.

The study by the Science Museum of London was conducted on three thousand people about their practice of telling lies and truth.

Researchers also brought into light from the survey that ‘Nothing’s wrong, I’m fine’  is the most common lie told by both the sexes. They found that while men tell six lies a day on average to their partner, boss and work colleagues, women are confined to 3 fibs a day.

Interestingly, men use to lie that their partner does not look too fat, while women avoid telling the truth about their latest shopping purchases. 83% of adults from both the sexes admitted that they could easily catch if their partner was lying.

The findings emerged in a poll by 20th Century Fox to mark the DVD launch of TV series Lie To Me, starring Tim Roth as a fraud specialist who helps to solve crimes. The study also discovered about the top ten frequent lies of both men and women.
