Pakistan’s Envoy Salman Bashir met Foreign Secretary Ranjan Mathai, who informed him about India’s strong reservations over the brutal killing of Indian jawans in the Mendhar sector in Poonch district yesterday.

Earlier, Defence Minister AK Antony had castigated Pakistan for this unwarranted open aggression and said that the killing and mutilation of the bodies of Indian soldiers were “inhuman” and “highly provocative”. The Congress and BJP have condemned the incident in strong words.
