Nagpur: It could be Mayawati’s political compulsions to side with the Congress at centre at various instances, but the BSP supremo has no sympathy for the party. That was evident on February 17, when Mayawati asked his party cadres to strive hard and throw the Congress government out of power at the Centre and in Maharashtra.
Maya said that Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) is the only party, which is not dependent on corporate support. “We fight polls with the money donated by common BSP workers. We don’t survive on the money begged from big corporate houses, which other major political parties so. We need to win maximum seats in Uttar Pradesh so that we control the power corridor in Delhi,” she said.
Maya came hard on the Congress at Centre and in Maharashtra, accusing the party of oppressing the Dalits. She also held it responsible for the situation of uncertainty created over the SC/ST Promotion Bill.
