India’s largest car maker Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) has stopped production today at its Gurgaon Plant. The production unit has a capacity to roll out between 3,500 and 4,000 units of vehicle in a day.
Maruti Suzuki’s Gurgaon plant rolls out the vehicle models, including the M800, Alto series, WagonR, Estillo, Dzire and Ertiga.
The company is facing continuous decline in sales for last few months. While in February 2012 it had sold 1, 07,653 units, this year in February 2013 it sold only 97,955 units in the domestic market. Maruti Suzuki India had reported 7.89 percent decline in its total sales at 1, 09,567 units in February 2013 while it had sold 1,18,949 units in the corresponding month in 2012.
