In yet another incident of Maoist menace in the tribal district of Malkangiri, the ultras killed two people and released one suspecting them to be the police informers. The three were abducted from Kyang village that comes under Mathili police station in the district on April 23 night. However, two of them were brutally killed.
The two were identified as Hatiram Pujari and Gopi Pujari. They were found dead near Kyang village on April 25. The third abducted villager was set free. He returned home safely.
However, the security forces did not act to rescue those abducted villagers following the report was aired in media.
The villagers in the Maoist-hit region are staying under fear thinking who will be next target. Nothing has been changed so far in KBK in the fight against Maoists after the abduction of Laxmipur MLA Jhinna Hikaka.
