KL Rahul gets Nod for Australia Tour

Karnataka’s in-form young opener KL Rahul, who has done exceptionally well in the recent days, was picked up for the upcoming Test series against Australia. Rohit Sharma and Suresh Raina have also been recalled to the team. Leg spinner Karna Sharma and Wicket-keeper batsman Naman Ojha too got the selectors’ nod.

The selectors have picked up a 19-member team, which has three wicketkeepers. Skipper MS Dhoni won’t be playing in the first Test, as he is yet to recover from the injury. Kohli will lead India in the first Test. The first Test match will begin in Brisbane from December 4.

The Indian selectors have also announced the team for remaining two ODIs against Sri Lanka. Rohit Sharma, Karn Sharma, Robin Uthappa, and Kedar Jadhav have been included in the team. Ravindra Jadeja and Shikhar Dhawan have been dropped. Wriddhiman Saha has been dropped and Ishant Sharma has been rested due to injury.
