A Karnataka BJP MLA landed in fresh trouble ahead of assembly polls after a CD showing him in sexual act was given to the private TV channels. The newly appointed state BJP president Prahlad Joshi may take strong action against the MLA after examining the CD.
Bhat is a second-time MLA from Udupi. He announced that he would not contest the May 5 assembly polls to avoid any embarrassment to his party. Meanwhile, Prahlad Joshi is also suspicious about the CD. He said that the CD could be the handiwork of oppositions or Bhat’s political rivals.
For the second time, he landed in controversy after the mysterious disappearance and suicide of his wife Padmapriya at an apartment in New Delhi.
BJP is going through a tough phase these days after rebel leader BS Yeddyurappa quit the party and floated another party KJP. The expulsion of the excise minister MP Renukacharya and the recent allegations levelled against Bhat suggested that it would not be easy for the party to contest the polls.
