TNI Bureau: The “cultural terrorism” had the last laugh, as Tamil actor Kamal Haasan finally gave up and agreed to cut seven scenes from “Vishwaroopam” to make some Muslim groups happy. That paved the way for the film’s release in Tamil Nadu.
In addition to the cuts, Kamal Haasan also agreed to mute the scenes that are deemed as objectionable. The decision was taken after Kamal Haasan’s marathon meeting with the Muslim leaders.
Vishwaroopam, a Rs 95-crore film, has created a big buzz in India and other parts of the world. In Hindi, it is known as Vishwaroop.
