Johannesburg Test: Pakistan bowl out for 49

TNI Bureau: Pakistan slumped to their lowest-ever score in Test cricket, as they bowled out for 49 in the Johannesburg test against South Africa. The previous lowest score of Pakistan was 52 vs Australia in 2002.

South Africa had scored 253 in the first innings. The lethal South African bowling attack proved to be too much to handle for the Pakistani team. Dale Steyn took six wickets by conceeding just 8 runs in 8.1 overs. Kallis and Philander took two wickets each.

This is the third time in less than two years that the South African bowlers bowled the opposition under 50. In 2011-12, they bowled Australia out for 47 in Cape Town. In January 2013, they bowled New Zealand out for 45 at the same venue.
