TNI Bureau: The BJP government in Jharkhand landed in a big trouble as its partner JMM withdrew its support from the party. The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) had been threatening to quit the Arjun Munda-led coalition government for the last few weeks demanding for a change of leadership within the party.
The JMM had set three options before BJP – either to tell Arjun Munda to step down as the Chief Minister, or to hand over the power to JMM or to name a new CM from BJP.
The decision was taken after the JMM leaders met on Monday in Ranchi to take next course of action. With no support from the JMM, Munda will resign as the CM.
The BJP also made it clear that the party will not try to form government seeking any other’s support in the state.
