The Mumbai Indians defeated the Rajasthan Royals in a thriller to set the summit clash with Chennai Super Kings on Sunday. Mumbai almost threw the match despite being at an advantageous position, but finally held their nerves to secure the win.

Rajasthan won the toss and elected to bat first. They posted 165/6 in 20 overs. Dravid was the top scorer with 43. Rahane (21), Binny (27) and Dishant Yagnik (31*) were the other top contributors. Harbhajan took three wickets, while Pollard took two wickets.

Chasing a victory target of 166, Mumbai were 125/1 at one stage, but they slumped to 141/5. Finally, they reached 169/6 in 19.5 overs and won the match by 4 wickets. Dwayne Smith made 62, while Aditya Tare scored 35. Dinesh Karthik made 22. Kevon Cooper took two wickets. Harbhajan Singh was declared ‘Man of the Match’.
