IPL 6: Mumbai beat Chennai; Rajasthan beat Delhi

The Indian Premier League (IPL) has witnessed two nail-biting finish yesterday. In the first match, Rajasthan Royals beat Delhi Daredevils by 5 runs, while Mumbai Indians beat Chennai Super Kings by 9 runs.

In the first match, Rajasthan Royals scored 165/7 in 20 overs. Dravid was the top scorer with 65. Stuart Binny made 40, followed by Rahane (28). Umesh Yadav took four wickets, while Nehra took two. Despite a valiant knock of 77 from David Warner and Unmukt Chand’s 23 and Manprit Juneja’s 20, Delhi finished at 160/6 and lost the match by 5 runs. Kevon Cooper took three wickets. Dravid was declared ‘Man of the Match’.

In the second encounter, Mumbai Indians scored 148/6 in 20 overs. Dinesh Karthik (37), Kieron Pollard (57*) and Harbhajan Singh (21*) were the top scorers. Sachin was out off the first ball he faced. Dwayne Bravo took three wickets. In reply, Chennai finished at 139/9 in 20 overs despite a fiery 51 off 26 balls by MS Dhoni and lost the match by 9 runs. Mike Hussey scored 20. Munaf Patel took three wickets, while Harbhajan and Ojha took two wickets each. Pollard was declared ‘Man of the Match’.
