TNI Bureau: Indian-born Chef Floyd Cardoz, who had tested positive for Covid-19, died in New York at the age of 59.
Cardoz was the co-owner of two popular restaurants in Mumbai – the Bombay Canteen and O Pedro. He had launched the Bombay Sweet Shop recently.
Cardoz was in Mumbai till March 8. He tested positive for CoronaVirus on March 18 in USA.
Floyd Cardoz is survived by his mother Beryl, wife Barkha and sons Justin and Peter.
New York has been worst affected by Covid-19 menace with the death toll rising to 271 and number of positive cases going up to 26,430. The United States has reported 785 deaths and 55,081 positive cases so far.
