India slips to sixth spot in ICC Test rankings

ICC LogoIndia has slipped to sixth position in the latest ICC Test team rankings while arch rival Pakistan replaces the former from the fifth position after its victory against Australia in Dubai cricket test.

South Africa leads the latest ICC Test team ranking followed by Australia, England, Sri Lanka and Pakistan. India has been relegated to sixth place not having played test matches for some time and following a humiliating defeat against England in its last test series.
No Indian batsmen or the bowler figures in top ten except for Ravichandran Ashwin who leads the pack of All-rounders.

Among the batsmen, Cheteshwar Pujara has been relegated to 16th position. Kumar Sangakkara is the top batsman followed by South Africa’s AB De villiers and Shiv narain Chanderpaul. Another Protean Dale Steyn leads the pack of bowlers followed by Ryan Harris and Rangana Herath.

India’s Ravichandran Ashwin is placed at number 13 in the bowlers ranking. However he tops the list of All rounders followed by Bangladesh’s Shakibul Hasan and South Africa’s Vernon Philander in the latest ICC Test rankings.
