India beat Sri Lanka in Warm-Up Game

Virat Kohli scored an explosive 144 off 120 balls, while Dinesh Karthik remained unbeaten on 106, as India defeated Sri Lanka by 5 wickets in the first warm-up game ahead of ICC Champions Trophy 2013. The match was held at Edgbaston, Birmingham.

Sri Lanka had scored 333/3 in 50 overs. Janith Perera scored 82, while Dilshan retired on 84. Jayawardene (30), Sangakkara (45), Chandimal (46) and Thisara Perera (26) were the top contributors.

Chasing a victory target of 334, India lost four wickets for just 110 runs on board. However, Kohli and Karthik added 186 runs for the fifth wicket to change the course of the game. India reached 337/5 in 49 overs. Apart from Kohli and Karthik, Raina scored 34. Eranga took two wickets.
