ICC Champions Trophy: Sehwag dropped from Probables List

The BCCI dropped Virender Sehwag from the list of 30 probables for the upcoming the ICC Champions Trophy, which will be held in Eangland after the ongoing IPL 6. However, Delhi batsman Unmukt Chand and J&K allrounder Parvez Rasool were named in the list.

Sehwag, who is not playing in the IPL 6 for the Delhi Daredevils due to injury, was also absent in the last two Tests series against Australia in which India won 4-0. Apart from him, Cheteshwar Pujara, Harbhajan Singh and Zaheer Khan were also dropped from the list of 30 probables.

Shikhar Dhawan’s century on his debut Test in Mohali helped him to return to the ICC Champions Trophy. For the first time, under-19 World Cup-winning captain Chand and Rasool got the opportunity to play for Team India in England. Also domestic performers Maharashtra batsman Kedar Jadhav, Madhya Pradesh allrounder Jalaj Saxena and medium pacer Ishwar Pandey, and Punjab medium pacer Siddarth Kaul have been named in the list.
