TNI Bureau: Senior Congress leader and former deputy chief minister of Gujarat Narhari Amin has been denied the ticket by the party for the upcoming assembly polls. Reacting to Congress’ decision, his supporters were also asked to resign from their posts in the party.
Amin, who is said to be an influential Patel community leader, could stand as a big hindrance for the Congress due to party’s decision. His supporters including city Congress chief Pankaj Shah and 18 municipal councilors, 40 ward presidents, and others have submitted their resignations to Gujarat Congress Chief Arjun Modhwadia.
Amin will decide the future course of action after consulting his followers. The speculations are there that he may join BJP to contest the polls against the Congress.
