Google’s Nexus Q Media Streaming Device delayed

TNI Bureau: Launch of Google’s Nexus Q media streaming device has been delayed for adding more features and functions into it. The company announced the indefinite postponement of the device in an email on to customers who had pre-ordered the made-in-America gadget. Rather, the company has offered a “preview version” of the device for free.

Google had announced the circular Nexus Q streaming device at the Google I/O conference in San Francisco in June. The device is designed to stream movies and music from the cloud and will compete with direct Apple TV. However, many reviews of the device focused on its lack of usability and features.

Google had started taking orders for the Nexus Q that costs $299 with shipping scheduled for July.

But now an email to customers who had preordered the device, Google said it has decided to postpone the consumer launch of Nexus Q while it works on “making it even better.”

It further stated in the email that though the industrial design and hardware were met with great enthusiasm but the company also heard initial feedback from users that they want Nexus Q to do even more than it does today. Accordingly it has postponed coming up with some better features and functions.
