TNI Bureau: The Delhi police were pulled up by the Delhi High Court over the investigation report filed on the gangrape of the 23-year-old para-medical student. The court was not satisfied with the report submitted by the police.
The court had sought the report from the police over its failure in stopping the bus inside which the gangrape had taken place.
The Delhi police on Friday submitted the status report explaining what police were doing during the brutal gangrape on Sunday night. The court asked for a detailed report on the measures, which are being taken to prevent the heinous act in the national capital. The matter will be heard on January 9.
The court also observed that there was huge delay in the results of forensic tests.
Meanwhile, the Delhi police commissioner Neeraj Kumar will appear before the Parliament Standing Committee on Home Affairs on December 27 regarding the case.
