Gadkari not to Resign, gets BJP’s Support

TNI Bureau: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has rallied behind party President Nitin Gadkari and said that the speculations of his resignation are baseless and far from truth. The party backed Gadkari and confirmed that he would tour Himachal Pradesh to campaign for the upcoming assembly polls.

The corporate fraud allegation stories against Gadkari run by Times Of India, NDTV and TIMES Now in the last few days, have put a lot of pressure on him to resign as the President. However, the BJP did not want to give up and decided to fight back.

Earlier, Gadkari met LK Advani after reaching Delhi this evening. The BJP leaders met at Gadkari’s residence tonight to discuss their future strate gy. BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar said that Gadkari has presented the clarifications before the party and has already made himself available for a probe. So, there is no question of his resignation.
