TNI Bureau: Former VJ-turned-actress Sophiya Haque died in London. She breathed her last at the age of 41 at a hospital on Thursday. She was reportedly diagnosed with cancer. Recently, she had appeared in the movie “Wanted”.
Sophiya had been diagnosed with cancer just before Christmas last year. She was suffering from pneumonia and had been undergoing tests at a hospital. She died suddenly in her sleep. She was living in London with her partner and music director David White.
She would be remembered as a singer for her album ‘One Night In My Life’. Her acting talent was best revealed in the film like ‘The Far Pavilions in London’. She had also performed as barmaid Poppy Morales on the well-known TV soap ‘Coronation Street’. She was currently starring in ‘Privates on Parade’, a West End productions show, when she was diagnosed with cancer.
